Vintage etched spessartine garnet from the famous Navegadora Claim, Penha do Norte, Conselheiro Pena, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

A prized specimen for any garnet collector, Navegadora garnets were mined out long ago, and the land from which they came has since been developed.  This solid gem is an even rarer specimen due to its size, weighing a hefty 54 grams!
